The Jameson Apple Crush is my favorite cocktail for numerous reasons. Most notably, my husband and I brought this recipe home with us from our honeymoon in Ireland. During our trip, we visited the Jameson Distillery in County Cork. After we finished the tour, my husband elected to do the Jameson Irish Whiskey Reserve flight tasting while I veered toward the 'Jameson Apple Crush' due to my love of anything apple.
As a takeaway from our visit, we not only had a wonderful cocktail to bring home but we were also able to get our very own bottle of the Jameson 12-Year Distillery Reserve, available only at the Cork distillery, marked specially for us as a married couple (pictured above). We still have not decided what occasion will be deemed worthy for opening this particular bottle of Jameson.
My husband went with me to the Binny's Beverage Depot quickly after our return home to get the necessary ingredients. While you may question the need to purchase additional bottles of liquor, particularly the Apple Schnapps and Dom Benedictine, I assure you that these will last you awhile and make nice additions to your bar. Make sure when looking for Apple Schnapps that you find real liquor and not the sour versions such as Apple Pucker. The Binny's associates were helpful in assisting us.
You may also elect to make this cocktail with other forms of whiskey. On occasions when we do not want to use up our Jameson, we also make this cocktail using Jack Daniel's to which I often refer to it as an Apple Jack.
